As part of its $50 million expansion plan, Erlanger East Hospital has developed a state-of-the-art cardiovascular interventional radiology (CVIR) lab.
The new CVIR lab provides patients access to innovative cardiovascular technology and procedures. Erlanger East Hospital now offers non-invasive diagnostic technology to provide the clearest possible picture of the patient’s heart and provide physicians with a more comprehensive concept of a patient’s vascular health. The new CVIR lab combined with the echocardiology and vascular ultrasound services at East allow the hospital to provide a full range of adult echocardiogram and vascular ultrasounds available on an outpatient and inpatient basis.
“The addition of Erlanger East Hospital’s CVIR lab provides patients in the region with the world-class care that was previously unavailable in the East Brainerd area,” said Dr. Phillip E. Jackson, FACHE, Vice President and CEO Erlanger North and East Hospitals. “With the most advanced equipment and skilled clinicians, patients will not have to travel far to receive top-notch care.”
