Erlanger hosts Eighth Annual OBGYN Symposium

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Erlanger Health System announces registration is now open for the Eighth Annual OBGYN Symposium for nurses and physicians. The annual event will be held on May 19 and 20 at the University Center at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga (UTC).

The annual two-day event features sessions focus on both obstetrics and gynecology. Topics include emergency obstetrics, newborn care, gynecology oncology, endometriosis pain management, menopausal hormone therapy, female pelvis medicine and reconstructive surgery, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Additionally, on Friday afternoon there will be several simulation labs for participants to perfect or learn new skills. Simulation rooms include topics such as hypertension emergencies, postpartum hemorrhage, and shoulder dystocia.

The OBGYN Symposium is designated a live activity for AMA and CME credits. The event is free and lunch will be provided daily, however registration is required prior to the event. The OBGYN Symposium is for medical personnel including physicians and nurses.
