This blog provides video, audio, and graphic resources to journalists working on news stories and anyone else interested in news about the Erlanger Health System. The purpose of this blog is to provide direct access to additional information and video featuring Erlanger Health System physicians, employees, and scientists. This blog will also serve as a resource for a local angle on national health news stories.

Posting Frequency

News stories will be posted as they arise. As stated, the purpose of this blog is to add depth to select news stories about the Erlanger Health System. News items don’t necessarily occur on a daily basis, but they do occur often. So, check back frequently for updates. Or, make it easy by subscribing to our RSS feed (the link is at the top right of each page).

Erlanger encourages your comments, participation and feedback on our different blogs and social networking sites and we look forward to having a discussion with you. We will maintain a high standard of professionalism and respect and ask that you do the same. Comments that are off-topic, expose patient privacy, or promote a commercial interest will not be approved.

Keep in mind that when you post a comment to a blog, it is available for the world to see. For your own privacy, do not post detailed personal medical information linked to your name.

Moderation of this blog occurs only during business hours. We will not be able to get your comment posted during the weekend or off hours.

By posting any comments, posts or other material on Erlanger-sponsored blogs or social networking sites, you give Erlanger the irrevocable right to reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your submission for any purpose in any form and on any media.

Comments: Monitoring, Editing, and Rejection

To protect patient privacy and ensure that comments are appropriate for all audiences, comments will undergo a review process by an internal moderator. In an appropriate timeframe, comments will be approved and posted or rejected. The following comments are subject to rejection:

  • Comments that include first and last names, locations or other personal or patient information
  • Comments that are profane, racist, sexist, derogatory, defamatory, threatening or embarrassing to any other person or entity
  • Advertisements or solicitations of business Comments that impersonate another person
  • Comments that are off-topic or SPAM

Comments will not be edited for typos, spelling errors or grammar.

Requests to delete comments prior to posting maybe sent to feedback@erlanger.org

Finally, you agree that you will indemnify Erlanger against any damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs or expenses (including attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of a claim by a third party relating to any material you have posted.
